What it is
Job shadowing is the least scripted of the staff mobilities and, for many teams, the most useful. There is no set curriculum to deliver: your staff shadow ours as they work, sit in on the parts most relevant to their own role, and use structured debriefs to turn what they see into something they can apply back home.
We shape each visit around what your team wants to look at — a subject department, a way of running labs, how learners with additional needs are supported, how assessment or quality assurance works in practice. You tell us the focus; we open the right doors and pair your staff with the right colleagues.
What you can shadow
Sample week
Meet your host colleagues, tour the campus and agree the focus and observation plan for the week.
Sit in on live lessons across subjects and levels, each followed by a short structured debrief with the teacher.
Observe practical training in specialised labs and workshops, and see how placements and employer links are coordinated.
Look at learner support, inclusion, assessment and quality-assurance practice with the staff who run them.
A final debrief turns what you observed into an action plan for your organisation, with certificates and Europass documents.

Accommodation, transport, cultural programme, administrative support and how a mobility works across the three stages are the same for all staff activities.
Yioula holds a BA in Mechanical Engineering while she has completed her postgraduate studies in Renewable Energy at Heriot-Watt University. For the last 10 years, she has been designing, organizing and monitoring professional training programs. She has managed more than 15 national projects focusing on the empowerment of unemployed people, people of different ages, people with disabilities and other vulnerable groups to remain or enter the job market. The EU-funded projects she has managed focus on education, social economy and entrepreneurship. She loves travelling and music and very often combines them by attending concerts abroad. She speaks Greek (mother tongue) and English fluently.
Nina is a Theatre Studies graduate of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens. For the past six years she has worked in project and operations management in the social and educational sectors, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing the logistics of training programmes and personally guiding more than 1,000 beneficiaries towards their goals. Her focus on measurable social impact earned her project the Bravo Sustainability Award in 2025. At AKMI, she is driven by the chance to shape meaningful educational journeys and international mobility experiences. Outside work, she volunteers with “Rainbow School Greece”, which advances inclusivity and equality in education, and is active in women’s empowerment networks such as “Lean In – Network Greece”. A proud mom and a restless spirit, she is a committed lifelong learner who explores creative and therapeutic writing. She is a native Greek speaker and fluent in English.
